Brompton's seat adjustment is done with 3 different seat post options and also a seat adaptor pin. This gives a huge scope of people that can fit your bike and a wide audience if you ever want to sell the bike (which of course you wouldn't). Actual saddle types can be found on the equipment page.

A rail seat sits about 10mm higher than the Brompton PU seat, or 30mm more by spinning the penticlip around so the rails are at the top of the clip.
Standard seat post - black.
Height from ground (a) up to 965mm PU seat, 995 with rail seat.
Height form crank centre (b) up to 710mm with PU seat, 740 with rail seat. Suggested in-seam up to 32" PU seat, 33" with rail seat.
Extended post - green
a) up to 1010 PU, 1040 with rail seat.
b) up to 770 PU, 800 rail seat. In-seam up to 34.4" PU, 35,5 with rail seat. Adds 60mm to folded package and 150g.

Telescoping seat post - blue.
a) up to 1110mmPU, 1140 with rail seat.
b) up to 885mm PU, 915 rail seat. Suggested in-seam of up to 39" PU, 40 with rail seat.
Adds 20mm to folded package and 295g over a standard post.
Now, if you are in the range of the extended seat pillar, you may also consider the telescoping pillar. Weigh up if weight or folded package size is more important to you.
