The GTT Tandem Touring Trike
When you want to have a friend (or significant other) along, this is the trike to take. The design features a stretched, triangulated frame with excellent pedalling stiffness while still having a comfortable ride. The standard Greenspeed reclined mesh and shock-corded seats provide semi-suspended comfort and low wind resistance.

The first Greenspeed tandem was a passenger tandem built for a school to take a disabled boy on the Great Victorian Bike Ride (600 +kms) in 1993. This was a stretched version of our very successful GTR touring trike (15,000 km around Australia tours with no problems). Performance exceeded expectations. The trike handled better than the tourers, and the teachers and students had no problems keeping up with the school pack, despite the extra weight of the boy.
Thus we had no hesitation in using the same design for a full tandem trike and child trailer for a couple and their 4 yo boy. We used a 100mm (4") wider tack on the 2nd tandem, simply to give a better turning circle (24'- the width of our side street).
